The Machines of Leonardo da Vinci

Exhibition - Piazza Brescia - Jesolo

From 15 May 2010 to 6 January 2011 in Piazza Brescia, a permanent exhibition in honor of Leonardo da Vinci will open to the public.

The exhibition was designed to acquaint everyone with the machines designed by Leonardo; it has been organized by Exponaturaitalia in a 600-sq.m. exhibition space.
This great genius was recently named the most important Italian of all time and is certainly the most famous in the world.

The exhibition, entitled The Machines of Leonardo da Vinci, will display many faithfully reconstructed, life-size machines in a charming atmosphere specifically designed to engage visitors.

The size of his designs, as regards the machinery, was held back in certain cases by the technology available at that time; therefore, some of his inventions, like the helicopter, tank, and bike, could not be produced.  But now, they do exist, and work exactly according to Leonardo's sketches.  Consequently, the modern, working version will be displayed, accompany by drawings and descriptions of the period.
